A connected network with different attributions where we seal survival contracts.

How do you recognize them deep underground?

In general, surface roots usually extend up to 1 or 2 meters deep, while thicker and stronger roots reach depths of 10 meters or more.

Our surface roots are especially adept at absorbing nutrients and water from the first layers of soil, while deeper roots can access more abundant water reservoirs, allowing us to cope with prolonged periods of drought more effectively.

This extensive and diversified root system contributes significantly to the stability and healthy growth of each of us, as it provides us with robust support to adapt to various environmental conditions.

What does the health of all your roots depend on?

There is a process of nutrient exchange between trees and some kind of funguses, we become allies benefiting both, relating to the plants involved, and this helps us maintain the overall health of the ecosystem. Furthermore, the development of these symbiotic relationships is crucial in the regenerative capacity of forests, as it facilitates the survival and growth of new seedlings.

I must mention that the adaptability of those fungi to different soil conditions is a vital factor in the ability of ecosystems to recover from disturbances such as forest fires or deforestation.

Therefore, the influence of those funguses in constant communication with each of us and with forest ecosystems is living evidence of the interconnection and mutual dependence that characterizes nature. It makes us a connected network with different attributions where we seal survival contracts.
